Why firms send us their clients

Four things that decide whether a treating provider helps or hurts your case

You already know the pattern: the client gets good care, then the file stalls because notes are thin, records take six weeks, and nobody at the clinic returns a call. We built our PI process around the opposite of that.

01

We work on a lien / LOP basis

Send the letter of protection and we start care — no money out of your client’s pocket, no insurance friction, no balance pressure while the case is pending. We’ve honored liens through settlement for a quarter century, and we know how to keep billing clean enough that it holds up in negotiation.

02

25 years inside the PI field

Dr. Matt Eiken has treated auto injury and personal injury patients in the Upstate since the clinic opened. That means the documentation speaks the language adjusters and defense experts read — mechanism of injury, objective findings, causation, and a treatment plan that tracks to the diagnosis rather than a calendar.

03

Fast notes, real narratives, clean records

Daily notes are completed promptly, not months later. Narrative reports read as a story an adjuster can follow from collision to discharge. Records and bills go out as an organized, itemized packet — the whole file, in one delivery, in the format your office asked for.

04

Communication your paralegals don’t dread

One point of contact who knows your file. Requests get acknowledged the same business day. If a client no-shows, stops treating, or needs a referral out for imaging or a specialist consult, you hear it from us before it becomes a gap in the record.

The referral process

Four steps, and the first one takes a phone call

1

You send the referral

Call, email, or use the form below. Send the LOP whenever it’s ready — it doesn’t have to arrive first.

2

We get them in quickly

Same-week appointments are the norm, often same-day. Early treatment dates close the gap defense counsel loves to argue.

3

Exam, imaging, documented plan

Digital X-ray on site, objective testing, and a written plan of care with a working diagnosis and causation opinion.

4

You get the file at discharge

Narrative report, complete notes, itemized billing, and imaging — delivered together, ready to attach to the demand.

What lands in your file

Documentation built for the demand package

Every referred client’s file is assembled the same way, so your team always knows what’s coming and where to find it.

Comprehensive narrative report

Mechanism of injury, exam findings, diagnosis, causation, treatment course, response, prognosis, and permanency where applicable.

Complete daily treatment notes

Legible, dated, and consistent — with objective measures recorded visit to visit, not copy-pasted.

Itemized billing ledger

CPT-coded, totaled, and reconciled against the lien balance so there are no surprises at disbursement.

Imaging and outside referrals

On-site digital X-ray with reports, plus documented referrals out to MRI, orthopedics, neurology, or pain management when the case calls for it.

Clinical capability

The care behind the paperwork

Strong records only matter if the treatment is legitimate and the client actually gets better. Our PI patients receive the same care as everyone else in the practice.

Auto injury & whiplash care

Cervical acceleration–deceleration injury, soft tissue trauma, headaches, and post-collision radicular symptoms.

Digital X-ray on site

Imaging taken at the first visit — no waiting on an outside facility to establish a baseline.

Objective outcome measures

Range-of-motion, orthopedic and neurological testing repeated over the course of care to show measurable change.

Spinal decompression

Non-surgical decompression for disc injury and radiculopathy where conservative care is indicated.

Shockwave therapy

For persistent soft-tissue and joint pain that hasn’t resolved with adjustment and rehab alone.

Referral network

Established relationships with MRI, orthopedic, neurology, and pain management providers across the Upstate.

Common questions from firms

Before you send the first referral

Do you accept a letter of protection?

Yes. We treat personal injury clients on a lien / LOP basis with no payment required from the client during the case. Send the signed LOP by email or attach it to the referral form — care can begin before it arrives.

How fast can my client be seen?

Usually within the same week, and frequently the same day for acute post-collision cases. Early, documented treatment dates matter — we prioritize new PI referrals accordingly.

How do I request records mid-treatment?

Call or email the office with a signed authorization. Interim records and a current billing ledger can be produced on request — you don’t have to wait for discharge to get a status packet for the adjuster.

Will Dr. Eiken provide a narrative or testify?

Narrative reports are standard on referred cases. For deposition or trial testimony, contact the office to discuss scheduling and terms in advance of your deadlines.

What areas do you serve?

The clinic is in Mauldin and regularly treats clients from Greenville, Simpsonville, Fountain Inn, Greer, Taylors, and the surrounding Upstate.

What if my client stops treating?

You’ll hear from us. Missed appointments and non-compliance get flagged to your office early so you can address the gap rather than discover it in the records.

Have a client who needs treatment this week?

Call the office directly and we’ll get them on the schedule before you hang up.
